Rangoon (Mizzima) – A group of protestors wearing yellow T-shirts gathered in downtown Rangoon on Monday to mark the fourth anniversary of the "Saffron Revolution.” They were stopped by police while trying to walk to the Sule Pagoda.

About 200 people led by Naw Ohn Hla, an ex-member of the National League for Democracy, gathered at the Nawaday junction in Mayangone Township.

Township Police Chief Maung Soe asked the group to disperse and go home, saying a gathering of more than five people was in violation of the law.

A Mizzima correspondent who observed the marchers said that the crowd appeared to follow the instructions to break up.
